Acting on specific input, a joint raid was carried out at multiple locations in Tallab Tillo, Jammu by Tehsildar Jammu, Paramdeep Singh (JKAS) and SHO Nowabad, Deepak Pathania. During the operation, over 150 rolls of banned Chinese thread (Gattu), known for causing serious injuries and even fatalities during kite flying, were seized. The illegal thread, made of synthetic material, poses a grave threat to public safety, birds, and two-wheeler riders. Authorities have confirmed that strict legal action is being initiated under the relevant laws. This proactive step aims to curb the use and sale of dangerous materials across the region.
