In a dedicated enforcement effort, Jammu Police (South Zone) launched Operation Off-Road on July 31, 2025, to curb rising violations of the Motor Vehicles Act. Spearheaded by SP City South and supported by SDPOs, SHOs, and ICPPs, the operation targeted high-traffic zones across the district. Multiple checkpoints (Nakas) were set up, resulting in the seizure of 19 vehicles and 48 challans for various traffic offenses. The drive aims to raise awareness about traffic discipline and ensure public safety. Officials warned that more such operations will follow, urging citizens to follow traffic laws strictly and drive responsibly.
