NDA Parliamentary Party Passes Resolution on Operation Sindoor and Pahalgam Terror Attack

In a significant development, the NDA Parliamentary Party passed a resolution acknowledging and honoring the brave actions taken by India’s armed forces during Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, following the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

The resolution saluted the unmatched courage and unwavering commitment of the Indian security forces, whose heroic valour during these operations demonstrated their unflinching dedication to defending the nation. The NDA also expressed its deepest condolences and paid tribute to the innocent lives lost in the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam.

On April 22, 2025, Pakistan-based terror outfit The Resistance Front (TRF) — a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba — executed a barbaric assault in Pahalgam. The attack claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists, who were brutally killed after being segregated based on their religion. This horrific act shocked and enraged the entire nation.

Reflecting the sentiment of the people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a speech in Madhubani, Bihar on April 24, declared:

“From the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world — India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the earth. Terrorism will not go unpunished.”

True to his words, India launched Operation Sindoor on the night of May 6-7, 2025, delivering justice through non-escalatory, precise, and targeted strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation reaffirmed India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, signaling that the country will neither forget nor forgive such acts.

The NDA resolution praised Prime Minister Modi’s decisive leadership, stating that his visionary statesmanship and unwavering resolve have not only guided the nation with clarity and strength but also ignited a renewed sense of unity and national pride.

The resolution further stated that post-2014, under the NDA government, India has shifted its security paradigm, where acts of terror are now met with firm, calculated responses. This stands in stark contrast to the pre-2014 period, when terror incidents were widespread across Indian cities including Mumbai, Patna, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

PM Modi also articulated a “New Normal” in India’s response to terrorism, centered around three core principles:

  1. Every terror attack will be met with a befitting response — at a time, place, and intensity of India’s choosing.
  2. India will not accept any form of nuclear blackmail. Precision strikes will neutralize threats hidden behind such tactics.
  3. There will be no distinction between terror masterminds and the governments that sponsor them.

Operation Sindoor also received overwhelming support from India’s Nari Shakti. The name “Sindoor” itself carries deep cultural resonance — symbolizing sacred commitment — much like India’s solemn promise to uphold its sovereignty and protect its people.

Through this resolution, the NDA reasserted that India stands united, determined, and resolute — committed to ensuring that justice is served, and terrorism is decisively defeated.
