Indian Army Rescues 90 Civilians Amid Jammu Floods

Amid the ongoing devastation caused by heavy floods across the Jammu region, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps launched urgent rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas of Dhar Khour and Channi Village, Akhnoor.

In close coordination with civil agencies, Army rescue columns evacuated between 80 to 90 civilians, including several children and elderly, who were stranded due to the rising water levels. Among the rescued were two individuals in critical condition, who were safely moved to receive immediate medical care.

Recognizing the urgent health needs of those affected, the Indian Army established two medical camps at Pallanwala and Palatan. Teams of Army doctors and paramedics extended essential medical aid to evacuees, ensuring timely support and relief to the flood-hit population.

Officials highlighted that Army personnel have been working around the clock to mitigate the crisis, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives during natural calamities. The swift response of the White Knight Corps once again reinforced the Army’s pivotal role in providing humanitarian assistance in times of disaster.

As rescue efforts continue, authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to remain vigilant and cooperate with teams working tirelessly on the ground.
