Jammu, Aug 17 — In view of the inclement and worsening weather conditions across Jammu Division, the Directorate of School Education has ordered the closure of all government and private schools for tomorrow, August 18, 2025. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff amid heavy rainfall, flash flood threats, and related disruptions. The order applies to all districts under Jammu Division. Authorities have advised parents and students to stay indoors and follow safety advisories issued by the administration. Normal functioning of schools will resume once the weather improves and conditions are deemed safe. The Education Department has assured that any further updates regarding reopening will be communicated promptly.
