Srinagar, J&K | July 30, 2025 — In a major counter-terror success, Indian security forces eliminated three Pakistani terrorists in Dachigam forest, who were responsible for the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
The joint operation, Operation Mahadev, was executed by the Indian Army, CRPF, J&K Police, and intelligence agencies after weeks of surveillance and specific intelligence inputs.
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, GOC-in-C Northern Command, and Lt. Gen. Prashant Srivastava, GOC 15 Corps, briefed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on the operation’s success. The LG congratulated the forces and lauded their precision, bravery, and coordination in neutralizing a major threat.
The encounter marks a significant blow to cross-border terrorism and highlights the unwavering resolve of India’s security forces to eliminate terror networks from Jammu and Kashmir.
