The Railway Protection Force (RPF), in collaboration with the National Security Guard (NSG), has completed the training of 100 CORAS commandos in specialised counter-terror operations. This move significantly enhances the security apparatus of Indian Railways, particularly for high-speed Vande Bharat trains operating on sensitive routes. The training included advanced combat techniques, quick response drills, and anti-sabotage measures tailored to railway infrastructure. These CORAS units will act as frontline responders to emerging threats, ensuring passenger safety and operational continuity. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening national transportation security and preparing for asymmetric threats targeting critical rail assets.
