Northern Railway Short-terminates Trains Due to Heavy Rainfall in Jammu Division

New Delhi, 17 August 2025: Northern Railway has announced the short-termination and short-origination of several trains owing to heavy rainfall in the Jammu Division, which has disrupted rail operations. According to the official press release, Train No. 22431 Subedarganj – Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan JCO (16.08.25) and Train No. 19803 Kota Jn – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra JCO (16.08.25) were short-terminated at Jalandhar Cantt. Similarly, Train No. 19225 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Jammu Tawi JCO (16.08.25) ended at Pathankot, while Train No. 12331 Howrah Jn – Jammu Tawi JCO (15.08.25) was also curtailed at Jalandhar Cantt. Additionally, Train No. 19224 Jammu Tawi – Sabarmati BG JCO (17.08.25) will now originate from Pathankot instead of Jammu. Authorities have taken these measures to ensure passenger safety and minimize disruptions amid adverse weather conditions. Railways have urged passengers to stay updated on further advisories.
