Moderate to Heavy Rain Predicted in Jammu & Kashmir — Flash Flood & Landslide Risk in Next 36 Hours

The Jammu & Kashmir UT Disaster Management Authority (JKUTDMA) has issued a weather alert predicting moderate to heavy rain with intense spells across several districts including Jammu, Kathua, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba, and Udhampur in the next 36 hours. This rainfall may trigger flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas. Residents are advised to stay indoors, avoid travel in hilly or flood-prone zones, and dial 112 for emergencies. The administration has urged people to remain vigilant and cooperate with local authorities to ensure safety during this period of heightened weather activity.
