In a significant operation, Police Station Akhnoor intercepted a vehicle transporting 50–60 kg of suspected adulterated cheese. The driver, identified as Ram Paul of Khour, failed to provide valid documentation or explain the source of the dairy product. A Food Safety Officer (FSO) confirmed the adulteration, following which the material was destroyed on-site to prevent health risks. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused. Jammu Police emphasized their commitment to public health and urged citizens to report any suspicious food-related activities, reinforcing the importance of vigilance in safeguarding consumer safety.
