In a firm move to enforce the ban on dangerous nylon/Chinese kite thread, Pacca Danga Police arrested two individuals with 37 rolls of banned gattu, registering FIRs 84 & 85 under Section 223 BNS.
In a separate operation, Janipur Police nabbed Bajinder Singh of Karan Nagar with 10 rolls, who was selling the banned thread through mobile orders to avoid detection.
Authorities remind citizens that DC Jammu has already imposed a ban on Chinese thread due to its life-threatening risks to humans and birds. Jammu Police has reiterated a zero-tolerance policy and urges full public cooperation.
