BSF Launches Search Ops After Suspected Infiltration In Jammu’s RS Pura Sector

The Border Security Force (BSF) has launched extensive search operations along the International Border (IB) in Jammu’s RS Pura sector following suspected infiltration. The operation began late Wednesday night and continued into Thursday, with troopers carrying out coordinated searches in forward villages, agricultural fields, and dense vegetation near the border fence.

Security forces issued an infiltration alert across RS Pura and Arnia sectors, deploying additional personnel, thermal imaging equipment, and dog squads to track any movement across the border. Drone surveillance was also used to assist ground teams in scanning difficult terrain.

Officials stated that these heightened measures come amid concerns of terror groups attempting to exploit vulnerable stretches of the border to infiltrate ahead of upcoming national festivals. Villagers residing close to the zero line have been advised to stay alert and report suspicious activities.

Although no contact or exchange of fire has been reported so far, the BSF remains on high alert. All border outposts are maintaining maximum vigilance, with strengthened coordination among intelligence and security agencies to ensure a robust multi-layered defence mechanism against any threat in the region.
