According to officials, 6–7 bodies have been recovered so far, while 20–25 people have sustained injuries. The incident took place near the starting point of the Machail Mata Yatra, a popular annual pilgrimage, raising concerns for devotees and locals alike.
Rescue operations are in full swing, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police, and local administration deployed to the spot. Authorities fear heavy loss of property and infrastructure, as flash floods and debris have severely impacted the region.
The administration has urged pilgrims to suspend travel to the area until further notice and advised locals to remain vigilant. Heavy rains continue to hamper rescue efforts, but officials remain committed to ensuring all survivors are reached as quickly as possible.
