Due to persistent heavy rainfall in the region, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has closed the Himkoti Track for pilgrims and battery vehicle services from 11 AM today. The decision was taken to ensure the safety of devotees, as slippery paths and reduced visibility pose serious risks.
Pilgrims have been requested to strictly follow official advisories, avoid restricted areas, and cooperate with staff deployed along the route. Weather conditions are being closely monitored, and the track will be reopened once deemed safe. Authorities are also ensuring alternative arrangements to facilitate the yatra without compromising safety.
