The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather advisory for Jammu & Kashmir, forecasting significant rainfall activity over the next few days. Between 2nd and 3rd September, many areas are likely to receive light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, with the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in a few districts of Jammu Division from late night till the afternoon of 3rd September. From 4th to 11th September, only brief spells of rain/thunder are expected at scattered places. Authorities have cautioned residents against possible cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides in vulnerable areas. People are advised to stay away from rivers, nallas, and unstable structures, and remain alert for official updates.
