In a major breakthrough against terror, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three Hizbul Mujahideen operatives in Poonch district who were attempting to set up a new module under the guidance of a Pakistani handler. The arrested individuals have been identified as Tariq Sheikh, Reyaz Lone, and Mohammad Shaffi, all residents of Chambar Kanari village near the Line of Control (LoC). Police said the arrests, made over the past few days, led to the recovery of seven AK rifles — four initially and three later based on interrogation. Sources revealed that the trio received weapon consignments from across the LoC and were tasked with reviving militancy in the region.
