The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday carried out raids in Awantipora and Bijbehara in connection with the escape of Hizbul terrorist Amin Baba. Sources revealed that the searches are aimed at unearthing local networks that may have aided his escape and to identify handlers linked to Pakistan-based outfits. Officials said the raids are part of a larger crackdown against terror infrastructure operating in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation reflects intensified efforts by security forces to dismantle Pakistan’s proxy war, choke funding routes, and neutralize support systems for militancy. Authorities reaffirmed their resolve to root out terrorism and restore lasting peace in the valley.
