In a major success for counter-terror operations, security forces on Thursday apprehended three terrorist associates in Hajin Kralgund area of North Kashmir’s Handwara. Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team comprising the Police, Army, and CRPF launched a search operation, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohd Iqbal Pandith, resident of Bunpora Langate, Sajad Ahmad Shah, resident of Chekparin, and Ishfaq Ahmad Malik, resident of Kralgund.
From their possession, security forces recovered one pistol, two pistol rounds, 20 AK rounds, and 20 terror posters, indicating their involvement in aiding terror activities. A case has been registered, and investigation is underway to ascertain their links and role in recent militant operations.
