Rajnath Urges Armed Forces to Tackle Invisible, Unconventional Threats

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today addressed the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference (CCC) 2025 in Kolkata, highlighting the need for the Armed Forces to adapt to evolving challenges in modern warfare. He stated that the nature of conflict is shifting, with “invisible challenges” such as information warfare, ideological battles, ecological threats, and biological dangers emerging as critical concerns. Singh underlined the importance of fostering a technology-driven military, capable of responding effectively to unconventional threats. Emphasizing vigilance and readiness, he urged the Armed Forces to expand their strategic vision beyond traditional battlefields, ensuring India’s defence remains resilient and future-ready.
