In a major security success, Punjab Police recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Tarn Taran based on specific intelligence inputs. The device, part of a conspiracy by Babbar Khalsa International and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to disrupt peace ahead of Independence Day, was safely neutralized by an ordnance disposal team.
Authorities have registered a case under the Explosives Act and launched an in-depth investigation to trace the network behind the plot. Officials said the recovery highlights ongoing efforts to foil terrorist threats and ensure public safety in the run-up to national celebrations.
