The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially confirmed that Operation Sindoor remains ongoing, with air and surveillance operations continuing across multiple sectors. Initiated on May 7, the mission targets key terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives.
In a press briefing held earlier today, IAF spokesperson Wing Commander Vyomika Singh reaffirmed the operational status and clarified that further official details would be shared “in due course.” She emphasized the need for public restraint in sharing unverified claims, stating:
“Since operations are still in progress, a detailed briefing will be conducted at an appropriate time. We urge all citizens and media outlets to refrain from speculation and dissemination of unverified or sensitive information.”
