Omar Abdullah Urges More Tourism to J&K, Says Travel Broadens Horizons

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called on Indians to visit the Union Territory, saying tourism plays a vital role in the region’s economic revival. In a social media post tagged to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he wrote, “Travel broadens the horizons & the mind.” He stressed that encouraging domestic tourism in the aftermath of recent tragic events would provide employment and strengthen unity. Abdullah said he and his colleagues are committed to promoting Kashmir as a safe and welcoming destination. The push comes as part of a broader effort to rebuild both livelihoods and confidence in J&K’s stability.
