Security forces have neutralized three terrorists so far in the ongoing encounter in Akhal forests, Kulgam district, Jammu & Kashmir. The operation, now in its third day, saw the deployment of the HAL Rudra attack helicopter, equipped with a 20mm turret gun, to eliminate the remaining two terrorists believed to be hiding in the dense terrain. Visuals from the site show heavy troop presence and gunfire exchanges. The encounter follows credible intel inputs, and a massive joint operation by the Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police is currently underway.
