The Jammu and Kashmir administration has blocked more than 300 social media handles, including several originating from Pakistan, for inciting violence and spreading provocative content in Doda and Kishtwar districts. Officials confirmed that these accounts were attempting to exploit the recent arrest of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik, who was booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) for allegedly associating with the Hizbul Mujahideen. Authorities stated that the crackdown was essential to curb misinformation, prevent youth radicalisation, and maintain law and order in sensitive areas. By shutting down these propaganda platforms, the government reinforced its commitment to neutralising both physical and digital networks of terrorism in the Union Territory.
