The disposal was carried out under the strict supervision of court directions and in compliance with Section 52-A of the NDPS Act. This step marks one of the largest destructions of seized narcotics in the region. Senior officials emphasized that the action underscores the police’s unwavering commitment to fight the drug menace. Authorities also appealed to the public for greater cooperation in identifying and reporting drug peddlers, stressing that community participation is vital to achieving a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
