In a decisive move to curb noise pollution and reckless driving, the Jourian Police have intensified action against motorcycles fitted with illegally modified silencers. These alterations generate loud and disturbing noises, sometimes mimicking gunfire, causing nuisance to the public and posing safety risks.
During an enforcement drive today, police seized three Bullet motorcycles with modified silencers and another ten bikes for various traffic violations under the Motor Vehicles Act.
In addition to enforcement, the police have rolled out a special awareness campaign aimed at educating riders about traffic regulations and the dangers of negligent riding. Officials emphasized that the campaign seeks to encourage safer driving habits while ensuring peace and safety for all road users.
The Jourian Police have urged motorists to strictly follow traffic laws and avoid unsafe modifications. Authorities have warned that stringent action against violators will continue to promote responsible driving and reduce noise pollution in the region.
