Influencer Nabbed After Performing Dangerous Bike Stunts on Jammu Roads

Jatinder Sharma, a popular YouTuber and stunt biker known as “Jannu,” was arrested by Traffic Police City Jammu on May 16 for performing life-threatening stunts on public roads, endangering lives and promoting dangerous behaviour among youth.

Sharma, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, was apprehended while riding his KTM 390 DUKE (JK02DG3400) on the Sidhra Flyover stretch. He had been reported by the public for endangering not only his own life but also the lives of many innocent pedestrians on various highways, including Sidhra Bye Pass, Ring Road, and Jammu-Samba Road. Through his YouTube channel, “Moto Vlogger Jaanu Stunts,” with approximately 2 million followers, he had been influencing youngsters in Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere to indulge in such practices. He stands booked under FIR No. 104/2025 at Police Station Nagrota Jammu.

This arrest highlights a growing trend of dangerous stunt biking in Jammu, despite ongoing police crackdowns. Bikers often evade law enforcement by hiding registration plates and performing stunts in congested areas like Kunjwani-Narwal-Sidhra, Jammu Old City, and Canal Road. These activities are frequently documented in motovlogs, which are then shared on social media platforms, attracting significant attention.

In response, Jammu’s Traffic Police have intensified efforts to curb such behaviour by setting up checkpoints and recommending the cancellation of driving licences for repeat offenders. They have also urged parents to monitor their children’s activities and avoid allowing them to engage in stunt biking. Additionally, there have been calls to remove motovlogs promoting stunt biking from social media to prevent further influence on impressionable youth.

This case serves as a reminder of the responsibility influencers bear in shaping the behaviour of their followers and the potential consequences of promoting hazardous activities.
