Indian Army’s White Knight Corps Constructs Bailey Bridge in Ramban After Road Collapse

Ramban, J&K – In a swift response to the heavy damage caused by incessant rainfall in Ramban district, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps has successfully constructed a 150-feet Double Storey Extra Wide Bailey Bridge at Maitra. The move comes after a vital stretch of the Karol-Maitra road was washed away, cutting off connectivity for locals and disrupting the movement of essential supplies.

The bridge, completed in coordination with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and local civil authorities, restores a critical lifeline for the region. It will enable smooth passage of emergency services, essential goods, and local traffic.

Officials stated that the bridge will be opened for public use after necessary safety validations are carried out in concert with the civil administration.

This rapid construction highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to supporting communities during crises and ensuring uninterrupted connectivity in disaster-affected regions, reaffirming the synergy between military engineers and civilian agencies.
