Indian Army successfully conducted trials of the Akash Prime air defence system at 15,000+ ft altitude in Ladakh.
🔹 Trials were carried out by Army Air Defence units in collaboration with senior DRDO officials.
🔹 2 direct hits achieved on fast-moving aerial targets in rarified high-altitude atmosphere.
🔹 Akash Prime proved its performance earlier during Operation Sindoor, countering Chinese-origin aircraft and Turkish drones.
🔹 The system will now be inducted into the 3rd and 4th regiments of Akash air defence in the Indian Army.
🔹 Another milestone in strengthening indigenous air defence and enhancing high-altitude operational capability.
