The Government of India has welcomed the breakthrough understanding between the United States and the Russian Federation to hold a high-level peace meeting in Alaska on 15th August 2025, aimed at finding a resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
In an official statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi stressed that the proposed meeting holds “the promise of bringing to an end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and opening up the prospects for peace.”
