India Successfully Test-Fires Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile ‘Agni-5’ from Odisha

India on Wednesday successfully test-fired its Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) ‘Agni-5’ from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha. The test, conducted on August 20, 2025, was carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command and validated all the missile’s operational and technical parameters.

The launch marks another significant step in strengthening India’s strategic deterrence capabilities. The Agni-5, developed indigenously, is a highly advanced missile system equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and guidance technologies, ensuring pinpoint accuracy and reliability.
