District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, today issued a clarification regarding the recent vehicle modification order. He stated that the order only restricts alterations to a vehicle’s original dimensions, banning tinted glasses, pressure horns, and other unsafe or prohibited modifications. Emphasizing that the directive is aimed at ensuring road safety and compliance with the law, Dr. Minhas assured citizens that cosmetic or lawful changes will not be impacted. Later, he visited Rajinder Bazaar in Old Jammu City, where he interacted with members of the bazaar association, listening to their concerns and demands. The visit reflected the administration’s focus on balancing strict enforcement of traffic norms with proactive engagement with the local business community for smooth governance and cooperation.
