Ramban, August 24, 2025 – A devastating cloudburst hit Ramban district of Jammu & Kashmir, resulting in three deaths and five injuries. Several residential houses have also been severely damaged in the disaster.
According to officials, the cloudburst struck suddenly, triggering panic and leaving families stranded. Rescue teams including SDRF, police, and local volunteers are carrying out search and rescue operations in the affected areas.
The injured have been shifted to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment. Authorities have confirmed that relief measures are being mobilized to support the victims and restore essential services in the affected villages.
The incident has once again highlighted the vulnerability of hilly regions in Jammu & Kashmir to extreme weather events. Locals have been urged to stay cautious and follow advisories issued by the administration.
