Jammu, Sept 3: Rising water levels of the Chenab River have inundated Hamirpur Kona village in Pargwal area of Akhnoor, Jammu, causing severe disruption. The swelling river has cut off the main road connectivity, leaving the entire village completely isolated from adjoining areas.

Visuals from the spot show floodwaters entering residential and agricultural land, raising concerns of damage to property and crops. Authorities are on high alert, with the civil administration and disaster management teams closely monitoring the situation. Rescue measures are being kept ready as locals brace for more rain in the coming hours.
