In a significant achievement, the Indian Army’s Northern Command Engineer Troops, in collaboration with the White Knight Corps and the Civil Administration, have completed the construction of a Bailey Bridge over Jangalwar Nallah. Despite the challenges posed by rough terrain, adverse weather, and limited accessibility, the bridge was successfully launched in record time. This vital infrastructure restores connectivity on NH-244 to Doda and Kishtwar, areas that were cut off due to damage. The Bailey Bridge will undergo final validations in coordination with civil authorities before being opened for traffic. This effort showcases the Indian Army’s resilience, efficiency, and unwavering commitment to supporting local communities during crises.
