Srinagar, J&K – Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, visited the Counter Insurgency Force deployed in South Kashmir to review the prevailing security situation.
During the visit, the Army Commander felicitated personnel of the Rashtriya Rifles and J&K Police for their commendable role in the recently concluded Operation GUDDAR, in which two hardcore terrorists were neutralised. He praised the synergy between security forces and lauded their relentless dedication in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Lt Gen Sharma also witnessed an innovation display put up by the troops, highlighting their creativity and use of technology to tackle operational challenges. He appreciated the innovative spirit of the soldiers and encouraged them to keep developing solutions that enhance counter-insurgency capabilities.
Addressing the troops, he called upon all ranks to remain resolute, vigilant, and continue serving the nation with unwavering commitment. The visit boosted morale and reaffirmed the Army’s determination to combat terrorism in Kashmir.
