All government and private schools in Jammu Division closed till August 26 due to bad weather.

In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions, the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has ordered that all government and private schools in Jammu Division will continue to remain closed till August 26, 2025. The decision has been taken as heavy rains continue to lash the region, leading to flood threats, swollen rivers, and the risk of landslides in multiple districts. The closure aims to ensure the safety of students and staff amid worsening weather conditions. Parents and guardians have been requested to cooperate with authorities and keep children indoors unless necessary. The DSEJ has advised schools to stay in touch with official notifications for further updates.
