Drone-Dropped Narcotics Recovered by Samba Police in Rajpura, Jammu

In a major breakthrough against cross-border narco-terrorism, Samba Police recovered a narcotics consignment dropped by a drone from across the border on the intervening night of July 25-26, 2025. The recovery took place in village Chillyari, located in Tehsil Rajpura of district Samba, near the International Border (IB). Acting on specific intelligence and continuous surveillance, the police team launched a swift operation and seized the consignment before it could be picked up by handlers on the Indian side.

This incident marks another attempt by Pakistan-based elements to exploit aerial delivery methods to smuggle drugs into Indian territory, bypassing traditional security checks. Authorities are examining the seized material and pursuing leads to identify local contacts involved in the operation.

Security along the IB in Jammu region remains on high alert, and efforts have intensified to counter the growing threat of drone-based infiltration and narco-terror activities.
