Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the situation arising from heavy rainfall, flash floods, and landslides across the Union Territory, taking stock of the ongoing relief and restoration efforts. During the assessment, the Lieutenant Governor expressed grief over the loss of two lives in Doda and extended condolences to the affected families.
He directed concerned departments and agencies to remain on high alert and ensure immediate assistance to people impacted by the extreme weather conditions. Rescue teams have been deployed, while road restoration, water supply repair works, and damage assessment operations are continuing across the Jammu division.
The administration is closely monitoring vulnerable areas and coordinating with district authorities to ensure timely response and support. LG Sinha emphasized the need for quick restoration of essential services and effective disaster management measures to minimize hardships faced by residents. Authorities continue to work towards restoring normalcy in the affected regions.
