Project Vijayak marks 15 years of building resilience in Ladakh

Project Vijayak of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated its 15th Raising Day at Kargil, marking 15 years of service in Ladakh’s most challenging terrains. Since its inception, the project has constructed over 1,400 km of strategic roads, 80 major bridges, and set records such as reopening the vital Zojila Pass in just 31 days. With future plans worth ₹1,200 crore, including road widening, tunnels, and adoption of advanced technologies, Vijayak continues to enhance connectivity, operational preparedness, and local livelihoods. The project also emphasizes welfare measures for its labourers, reflecting BRO’s commitment to both nation-building and community support in Ladakh.
