The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Yatra, which had been temporarily suspended due to inclement weather conditions and essential track maintenance, is set to resume from September 14, subject to favorable weather, officials announced today.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) issued an official statement, urging devotees to carry valid identification, use only designated pathways, and extend full cooperation to on-ground staff to ensure smooth management of the pilgrimage.
For real-time updates, booking facilities, and helpline support, pilgrims have been advised to visit the Shrine Board’s official website www.maavaishnodevi.org.
Expressing gratitude to the devotees for their patience and understanding during the suspension, the Shrine Board emphasized its commitment to upholding the sanctity, safety, and dignity of the revered pilgrimage. “The resumption of the yatra is not just a logistical decision but also a reaffirmation of collective faith and resilience,” the statement said.
Officials added that special arrangements have been made to monitor weather fluctuations, track conditions, and crowd management to ensure a safe and spiritually fulfilling experience for all yatris.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, nestled in the Trikuta Hills of Jammu and Kashmir, continues to attract lakhs of devotees every year, symbolizing unwavering faith and devotion.
