The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday carried out widespread searches at 20 locations across five states and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with an ongoing terror conspiracy case. The raids targeted individuals and groups suspected of aiding cross-border terrorism, radicalization, and illegal financial channels supporting anti-India activities. According to officials, these operations are part of a sustained nationwide crackdown to identify sleeper cells and disrupt their networks. The searches mark another step in strengthening India’s internal security and highlight the government’s commitment to counter terrorism. The NIA is expected to release further details once the operations conclude.
