In a major success for security forces, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gurez sector of Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir. Officials confirmed that two terrorists attempting to sneak into Indian territory from across the border were neutralized in a swift operation. The infiltration bid was detected in time, preventing a possible terror strike in the region. Following the encounter, a large-scale search operation has been launched in the area to rule out the presence of additional infiltrators.
