Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the situation arising from the devastating cloudburst in Kishtwar through video conferencing from Jammu, as bad weather prevented his direct visit to the affected areas. Singh expressed satisfaction at the coordinated efforts of the Army, NDRF, SDRF, J&K Police, and local administration, commending their timely and effective response during the crisis. He assured that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government remains committed to extending all necessary relief, rehabilitation, and support to the affected families. The Defence Minister’s review reinforced the Centre’s determination to provide both immediate assistance and long-term rehabilitation measures to those impacted by the tragedy in Chishoti, Kishtwar.
