Poonch, Aug 20: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited Poonch to congratulate troops for their resilient action during Operation Shiv Shakti on July 30, 2025. The operation led to the neutralisation of two terrorists and the recovery of a large cache of war-like stores, marking a major success soon after Operation Sindoor.
During his interaction with the soldiers, Lt Gen Sharma praised their high morale, operational readiness, and steadfast commitment in challenging conditions. He emphasised the importance of sustained alertness to counter threats and maintain peace in the region.
The Army Commander’s visit served as a morale booster, reinforcing the Northern Command’s dedication to safeguarding national security while ensuring continued peace and stability in Jammu & Kashmir.
