On 31st July, authorities announced the suspension of all Amarnath Yatra convoy movements from Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, due to inclement weather conditions along the route. Pilgrim movement to the Baltal and Nunwan base camps has been temporarily halted as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all devotees. The Divisional Commissioner of Jammu has advised pilgrims to remain alert and follow official weather and security updates closely. Despite the temporary halt, over 3.93 lakh devotees have successfully completed the yatra to the Holy Amarnath Cave so far this year. Further movement will be decided based on weather clearance.
